weird steering problem
A couple weeks ago I was sitting in traffic and the lane I was in wasnt moving because someone was waiting to turn. So being the impatient person that I am I whipped over to the right hand lane real quick and had to floor it because traffic was coming up quick behind me. Well I brought it up to about 6K in first then shifted and when I pushed the clutch in to shift it felt like the whole front end of my car tried to jump to the right. It felt kinda like hella torque steer, but it was when I let off the gas instead of on acceleration. It just wanted to rip my whole car to the right. Why would it do that? It didnt pull at all the whole time I was reving it up but as soon as I pushed the clutch in then BAM!, my car jerks to the right. I have had it a happen a couple times and it feels very dangerous when it happens. I have noticed when it happens I am usually making a small turn (like changing lanes or coming out of a driveway) and then flooring it. The car is a 90' GS with a B20.
only thing I can think is a cv shaft is binding or a bad ball joint.
Get the car off the ground and check out all the suspension components and cv shafts
also make sure the cv shafts are in the tranny all the way
