hmm im interested in the block.. but why does it have P73-AO's? those are us pistons? it also looks like someone has shaved off the "5" from the B18C5...

has no vin but i got a bill of sale and i'll give a bill of sale

If he's willing to include a bill of sale that he got with it from it's last owner and one diectly from him stating he sold it to the next buyer all we can do really is take his word for it - I mean he can't give you what he doesn't have right ?!?
Unless you wanted to spend the afternoon at your local CHP office with the block to varify it's legit which sometimes isn't even possible if you don't have a vin. number since most law enforcement dept. don't have up to date cross refferenced block numbers to go with the car's vin's so a block number is useless half of the time .... unless the block number was actually reported to the dept. when the car was stolen !
There actually is a reason why some one would do this to a legit block since a buddy of mine actually shaved the 5 off of his USDM obd2 B18C5 ITR long block to pass it off as a obd1 JDM GSR B18C so he didn't have to convert everything to obd2 which is like a swap in itself to comply and make his car BAR legal ....

My friend had the same problem with a missing VIN on a tranny. The problem with that is once you install the engine in the car the CHP can impound your car and make you pay to take out the engine even though you have a receipt. With a receipt you just won't get charged with stolen property but you lose your engine. CHP said any engine/tranny/body pieces with missing VIN or damage VIN/defaced numbers will be considered stolen property that can be confiscated/impounded and you charged. Just my two cents...I saw how much hassle my friend went through and thats why I asked about the VIN tag.

At least your willing to do that.
I sorry I'm not trying to ruin your sale of the block. I was very interested till I saw the "5". I just felt I didn't want to deal with all the crap my friend went through since CHP/cops are popping alot of hoods these days.

you can check if the block legit or not with the lower number beneath the b18c no need for vin tag just when thru chp vin verification about 3 weeks ago
