Default lowering- is 2" too much?

i have a 98 ex with a pair of 17" konig hurries.
i just got a pair of brand new lowering springs that will lower it 2"
is that too much? will it rub going over bumps with a pair of KYB struts?
will they rub while turning too hard?
i got to springs for free so i would hate to throw them out.

nah i had the same drop on my EM1 and no rubbing issues...if you had more meaty tires maybe or if you had a 2 1/2 drop maybe too. youll be fine...next time search b4 anyone on here flames you...they tend to be brutal on shizz like this...

I have 2.5" f, 2.25" r. I love it the look but the stiffness is beating me (and my car) to death.

In order for 17s to look good on a civic, they gotta be tucking imo

As long as you do it properly you should be able to keep as much stuff in the car as you like. Stiffer springs are the key. And yes your ride quality will go out the window. What profile tires do you have on the 17s? that will determine if your tires will rub or not.

185/60 14s (stock?) will be about a half an inch smaller than 215/40 17s
