What was the last year Honda made the Accord wagon? Few more Q's, also???
Thinking of getting a wagon for the family car/commuter. What was the last year they made the Accord wagon? Any pro's/cons? Differences between engines/models? Also, did they make a 5sp w/VTEC?
1997 that year it was vtec auto only.
Cons: Weight
Pluses: can do your girl in the back
1994-6 wagons are auto or manual

Of course the big plus of a wagon is the hauling capability. You don't have as much room as a van or a minivan, but more than a regular sedan. Plus chicks dig men who drive station wagons.
Other good wagons that are offered in 5-speed manual transmissions are the Volkeswagon Passat, Suburu (not sure, the Outback?), and several different Volvos. Basically, if it's a US model (e.g. Ford Taurus) it's automatic only, if it's an import it's offered in both manual or automatic transmission.
By the way, if you are looking for something a little different, check out the Mazda5 (new for '06). It's sort of a micro-van. Seats 6 and you can get it with manual transmission.

that was a joke in case you guys were wondering, but yeah I guess everyone has different taste. I personally would never drive a station wagon though, reminds me too much of the 70's & 80s ...an era which contained some pretty ugly wagons! lol

IMO the 90-93 wagons are MUCH better looking than the 94-97. As for performance, someone quoted the 94-97 as having 130 HP

....there it is.
But the 90-93 wagons all (if I'm not mistaken) came with the F22a6, with 140 HP. Right?

In europe and japan, they kept making the station wagon accords, but never brought them to north america.

i am willing to bet its got the same k24 in it that other accords from that time do, as well as maybe a v6 model.
the onr i would wnat is a 98-02 SiR wagon with the h23vtec and AWD (though its an auto, but thats ok for a daily driver).

It's a two way street, because most of the parts are interchangeable except after the rear seats. I've got a 95 LX in manual tranny and it's great. Pics are up on Accord Wagon Club USA
