Put a volt meter on it. Should be between 12.5-14.5 Volts.

sounds like either your battery is dying and it has just enough juice to run radio ect. but then again it could be your altenator, ive been through three with my ek coup

Why not just pull the alternator off, put it in your handle-bar basket and peddle your *** down to auto zone? Sometimes when people ask for help and get a response they act like all of honda-tech should show up at their house and help push the car to the mechanic/shop to get the work done. **** me.

Well battery is at pepboys getting tested now. Also when the engine is off but the key is in the igntion, the radio will work but when i turn the lights on the radio shuts off. And visa versa. I let the car sit for like 4 hours also and then it started, but once i shut it back off it didnt start again.

To check the alt. cant i just start the car and then while its running unplug the battery and if the car stays running then the alt. is good, if it shuts off alt. is bad.??

you can start the car and put a screw driver or any metal on the back side of the alternator if it is working it creates a magnetic field and the metal will stick to it
