RPM Launch on S2000
Trending Topics
I drive an AP1 and am speaking about AP1's. There is a thread on S2KI.com that explains why a higher rpm is better, I suggest you go and read that since I am not in the mood to explain everything to you here.

I have the 2-step set @ 4200 RPMs and the anti lag @ 4000rpms. Car still spins like hell but I just let off of the gas. As soon as it hooks Im back on the gas all the was and its good to go.
oh ya, I have a turbo

ap1 is around 6000, as said before.
it has been stated you will need a little bit of wheel spin. the differentials in the S2000 isnt the strongest thing (dont be scared to launch it though, it will hold up) when you spin it takes some of the force in the differential and puts it on the ground and helps absorb the shock.
*read somewhere on here i belive, maybe s2ki.

I myself don't do it, but I do usually go from around 6500-7000. I am speaking on behalf of other drivers viewpoints, not my own. </TD></TR></TABLE>

It takes some more finesse with the feathering, but the basic concept is the same.
My viewpoint is that it works well anywhere over 6 on an AP1, perhaps not necessarily at 9, but it can be done. It never hurts to know.
