98 ls motor no charcoal canister???
This may be a really stupid question but do the 98 or 96+ ls motors come with the charcoal canister that's stuck to the block? for some reason i think it didnt come with one or mine fell off some how. lol. My car has smelled really odd for the past couple months like its burning oil, but when i check the oil its fine. I looked for the canister yesterday and its not there.

The charcoal canister doesnt have anything to do with oil. Its just a storing device for the gas vapors until they are used while the car is running. If the smell is oil I would check your pcv system

errr not that canister. Its the one that's stuck to the back of the block lol. Not sure of the exact name but the black box.
