So today I went to Willow Springs with my semi-new Falken FK451's. THey had about...1k miles on them. They gripped pretty well, but they chunked like crazy and they look all goooey now.

Did I mess them up? Does this affect grip or just long time wear? I'm really worried that I just ruined my new tires...

Here's a pic after just one 30 minute session...They're actually a little bit worse now.

 

2 side questions.

1) You didn't pu them on backwards by accident, did you?
2) What PSI did you run them at?

No they are not on backwards..They are on in the direction the arrow is pointing on the tire.

And I ran them at 38f/36r. Then halfway through the event I rotated my tires and forgot to change the pressures, so then for 2 sessions they were at 36f/38r.

the tires that were on the front for the first 2 sessions are WAY worse then the tires that were on the rear. and even when I put the rear ones on the front they still didn't chunk no where near as bad.
