Need some 85 Civic S help. Paint code really.
Hey folks, I've been lurking around the site for the last month or so, and I do have to say there is quite ALOT of good info here.
It is nice to see that some people like the older hondas.
But here is where I need some help.
Last month I was able to rescue a 1985 Civic S1500 from the crusher.
The car is completely intact and the yard owner did not know what was wrong with it.
I was able to get the car for 350. After taking some time I was able to clean the interior of the car and get the engine to crank over and even run on starter fluid. I currently have the carb and isolator out for repair/overhaul.
I have the paint code for the red. It is R-39. I believe that this is "Victorian Red", but I don't have a code for the silver for the bumpers or the lower half of the car. I'm sorry that I dont' have any pics up yet but when I feel that it is somewhat presentable I'll post a few.
If any one can furnish the paint code for that silver, I would appreciate it.
I kinda what to take care of this Honda since my last one was a 85 DX, that was my first car back in 1990. It only lasted about two years before I spun out a rod bearing and well, lets just say that I made a big mess.
Thanks all.
