I love the old school mini's. The new ones aren't bad either...but you've gotta love your roots.

Old mini's > new mini's

I read that you can accelerate from a standstill in 5th all the way to 130+. Awesome weight and gearing.

Haha, naw, I just...I don't know. I see alot more maintenance with a turbo than with NA motors. And when was the last time you heard someone say "he blew a hole in the side of his motor because it was too NA". I usually hear "too much boost" or "too much NO2". Turbo's just never really been my thing, I guess. But they ARE impressive, no doubt.

I hope you were just joking cause that is a B-series in there. They have been swapping Honda motors into Minis for a few years now.

I'm with you man. I like N/A. I do enjoy my "boosted" F250 7.3L PSD though. However for an everyday driver I prefer N/A.

Sweet. Some day I'm going to build the $50 Mini shell I have with a boosted D-series for GRM $200X competition.

EDIT: Is that 2 different cars?

Reminds me of a back issue of SCC, they had an article with 1900 lb Mini with a ITR swap, guess it outran Aston Martins. That thing was the ultimate sleeper, looked completely authentic from the outside, roof racks and all.

Looks like one w/ fogs, and the same car without 'em. Pretty sure it's same, though.

video of a b16 mini on throttle bodies:

http://media.putfile.com/vtec-mini

There is alot of places that do conversions to put b16's into minis in the UK but it's not cheap. On the standard round nose mini you need to make the front end longer to get it too fit in, drops into a clubman okay though.
