my buddy test drove an EBP 00 Si today, it was stock except for a CAI.

i ran really smooth but i shut off a couple times during the test drive, one time we were cruising on the highway and it shut off, so its not like he stalled it or anything....

what would make the car do this?

I am having the same problem with mine and I am thinking it might be the coil but i am not sure?Bump for more answers

 

Check your anti theft system, took forever to find the problem on a friends car. After replacing relays and weeks of issues it ended up being a loose connection in the steering column causing the car to die

 

probably is the dizzy, mine fucked up and i had to replace it

 

Alright i believe there is a recall on this issue that i read somewhere. If thats the case then you could bring it to the dealer and theyll replace the ignition free of charge. http://www.automotive.com/2000....html

Does it stutter and then die or just dies? Also thowing any codes?
