My friend has a 01 accord coupe with a V6 3.0 vtec its fast but not as fast as what i thought it would be for a 3.0 vtec. then yeaterday i heard that they are not fast as they seem they would be. then i was lik why aint they fast? they have a 3.0 vtec, i was confused i asked him y aint they fast? he was lik i dont know i just heard it, i was like how do you know something without knowing they whole story i said ur stupid so can u guys help me all i want to know if there fast or not? and if not y? and what type of motor do they have? (thanks for answering some of my questions even if there dumb questions )

 

jesus, what the hell did i just read? "Fast" is a relative term. Yours differs from his.

 

3 liter SOHC VTEC v6 w/ 200hp, they weigh a ton and run high 15s stock.

my def of fast is 13.9 or quicker in the quarter, anything less is slow

 

in other werdz...the v6 iz slow yo!

The V6s are "slow" because they are:
1) all autos (for now)
2) heavy

 

there is the answer -- they are far from quick man....comfy tho...

on the highway a stock v6 accord will hang with a very lightly modded GSR (1 or 2 bolt ons)

so they are not slow

 

My friend has a cold air intake on his V6 accord and it will beat a stock GSR.

I dunno. It just puts a big smile on my face how briskly I walk away from GSRs, especially at high speeds.

 

Oh, I'm really praying for a low to mid 14 when I finally get around to running the 1/4. I didn't really say my car was fast though...

 

i have no problem with bpu GSR's either, and i have no H22 =D

With my luck I'll get a low 15!
I really do pull hard on and walk away from known 14 second cars on the straits though, and am right on pace with 13-second cars (Vettes, M3s, Cobras...)

Yeah, I wish I could hang with a Z06... but stock C5s do <u>not</u> pull on me (above 80 anyway). Maybe 'cause I'm drafting off 'em
