new s2000 engine in my crx
I tried the search and of course found nothing, but either way, why wont these new engines in the RSX, S2000 and such work in my crx. I heard it was because they spin the other way, The "right" way. But isn't that where a tranny comes in. As long as I've got the right axles I can't figure out why it wouldn't work. Please someone enlighten my ignorent self. Thanks
s2000 is rear wheel drive. thats another problem there. also not only are they spinning the oppositre direction, they also sit on the left side of the engine bay instead of the right. everything has to be moved for a k series engine to work.
so if everything has to be moved doesn't that mean that it is still possible. I'm sure that you can make it rear wheel drive somehow. I think I saw a guy in super street that had an eclipse engine with a GM tranny. Either way isn't a RSX and a CL type-s front wheel drive. if so than its that much more possible right. I just want to know if it can be done. With the right money I would think so.
everyone here will tell you, for the right money you can put an escalade engine in there for all it matters. i would worry about diminishing returns. why go through all that hassle for a 160 or 200 HP engine? but a gsr or type r motor and save yourself the headache.
well if I see your point. if it was in a somewhat resonable price I would pay for it to be done. JUst imagin what people would say if I had a s2000 EF. I wonder how much it would cost though. Probably too much huh.

"Damn, if I were him I would have gotten a B18C5 and worked from there. What a waste of money."

s2k in an ef huh?
this is a longitudinally mounted engine, not transverse like most honda engines
good luck finding/making mounts!
you could get the same power for $293432920 less dollars by getting an ls sleeved and bored out and turbo'd
just my opinon though - which doesn't count for much around here

Yep or "why didnt he just turbo a b16 or somthing and make 3 times the power?"

If YOU personally had access to machining and welding equipment, this would be a great project. A RWD 2300 lb crx would be awful potent.
If you're going to do that much fabrication, why not just build a whole new car... it's be less work.
when the guy from mahdavi motorsports said he was
going to put an nsx motor in his crx i bet his friends
did not stop laughing for a week

I'm still waitinf for the NS-GR-X to debut.....and waiting....and waiting....and waiting....
I'll stop laughing when I see it bust some quick times. I don't know if I can justify putting that much $$$ and time into something that crazy. Yea, they'll probably get a coverpage for such a car, but would it perform up to it's looks?

Also...there's already been a RWD CRX...I believe it had a turbo Eclipse motor at first. And now working on an S2000 motor to keep it an all Honda effort.

rwd crx got tranversal mounting point conversion ( must be done with a lot of precision and techincal knowledge ) then when it's done, custom driving shaft have to be made, then rear diff have to be putted in place, To me this project is a bit crazy but HEY, to each is own. A good point is that it leave a LOT of place for a ****'n HUGE turbo, each side of the engine compartiment is stripped down, then no winshild thank, no more everything. with the money you can get a crazy *** turbo setup in there.
WHY, god damn, WHY don't you just buy a b18c5, ( if you want troubble a H22 ) and put it where it goes, turbo'd and nitrouss injected, I'm shure you will cry to mama when pushing it hard. héhé
see ya man, and keep on dreaming !!
