I've seen it done before... What is the purpose, to make it look like a manual?

I imagine it would be possible, but it'll probably be harder to try to get it to work than it would be to just replace what's already there.

It's been done many times over. A lot of members on V6P have done it and I'm going to do it soon.

Im doing it to mine also until i can afford a swap, i think it looks cleaner then the big over sized auto handle . I belive you just buy a boot and take out the middle part that goes over the radio and auto shifter then slide the bood over the auto shifter and shaft and then put the middle piece back on and it should be in there pretty tight. Would be nice though for someone to post a pic of the cars that have it so it would be easier for u to see that it really isnt hard or anything.

The boot takes like 2 seconds to install. Very simple and straight forward. All the center console pieces are held down by clips. I could tell you how to do it without even doing it myself.

My car might be a little different than yours, but I'm pretty sure it'll all work the same. I have a 2001 coupe V6. When I get my **** I'll post a DIY in this thread.

You can get a generic boot from eBay, a boot made for the manual version of your car, or I've even heard of people getting them from other cars. There's a 6th Gen who I asked and he got his boot from an EK Civic.

I should be getting my **** at the end of this week maybe, I'll post a DIY in here so you guys can all see it. The boot I used was an OEM 6th Gen 5 Speed boot for the I4's. It's so so so simple you guys will be amazed haha.

Probably, try an EK Civic shift boot, a DC Integra shift boot, or if you can find one an OEM one.

Yes a universal one will work. The OEM one will be a cleaner look and feel though. They have generic ones on eBay.

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

basically it's what you get when you buy directly from Honda and not some aftermarket company

There's a Razo one you can buy... you just push the whole thing down. Check Cardomain's store, I believe they have it.
