so how does this work? can i still use my stock harness (plug and play) AND purchase another harness for the secondary injectors from AEM? or do i have to use their custom harness for everything?

Why do you need 8 injectors for? If your planning to run 11's (as your sig says), you can do this with 4 injectors. You dont need 8 injectors!!!!
The AEM EMS is probably the most innovative new product to be introduced to the market. My son and I own AEM. We are continuing to add dozens of plug and play applications. The product is successful when installed as we recommend and will perform better than any stand alone system with ease.
the aem system is just a repackaged PRO-EFI computer........at an HIGH *** price....if you want to get somthing plug-and-play , buy a hondata, if you want a real standalone, the FAST (speedpro) can be had for 1300$ without the wide-band O2........how come Steph doesnt run one of these???
You can make a car idle fine with 880's. It's just getting the setup right. But if you really wanted to run 8 injectors with the PnP EMS you could. You would just use the unused pin locations on the EMS to pin the extra injectors in.
If someone at AEM said the EMS was a mistake, maybe the context was that it may have been released a little prematurely. 1/2 a year down the road it should be true plug-n-play product.

Philo,
I suggest you read the latest issue of "HondaTuner". It explains in detail what our system will do when tuned by the proper technicians and on a dyno. They also explain the pitfalls of not doing it properly. They were not of the opinion that we released the unit too early.
Incidentally, I believe we only advertised once in their magazine but can't remember when.

Steph is the ultimate perfectionist. He has requested some very special custom software changes that we are working on. His application is far from plug and play but not beyond our expertise.
Even tho I have hondata, I really like the AEM EMS. All the features it has are just awesome. But its too late for me because I already purchased my hondata. AEM may have delayed the realease but its better they do that. AEM makes good products and it better that they perfect it, rather than sending it out to the customer and it having problems.

I know Ralphy AT DRT loves the unit. He making some good power i think like 630 or so on it. He really likes it over the DFI unit he was running.

The AEM ECU hardware was designed in house at AEM, the software was developed by GEMS. I paid 1300 (and I've seen them for less) for my EMS system and unlike a PRO-EFI system I don't have to spend another grand and 20 hours of my time just to install the sensors that you need to make your engine run.
