I know its not tech related, but i want Integra owners opinions...

I have a 91 DA, Mint in my opinion, i've had it for 3 years and put tons of work into it. Currently has a built LS/Vtec Heres a few pics real quick.







Ok so, A guy offered me 7 grand for my car today.. and he wants an answer asap! I just keep trying to think of what kind of project i could start with that 7 grand... But obviously i have well over 7 grand into it, if you include the cost of the car... I know its my car and its my choice, but what do you guys think? I Also know it'll be hard to ever find a deal like this on my car.

 

how much do you have invested in the engine exactly? I think 7 is not bad for you to get for a DA teg at all, because you know the saying, you never get what you pay for.....

lol, ok, i was trying to be nice and make you think possibly it was actually worth 7, but now that brian has said it I have to agree, if someone really offered you 7 I would take it right away!!!

 

I've got around 5 grand invested in the engine alone, its only got around 10k miles on it... at the most.

 

i know some people are against the KBB value, but it looks like private value your car stock is worth maybe 3 at the most in excellent shape, so I would say 7 is a great deal on your part and take it

 

I understand that it'll be hard to get that much for it anywhere else, but i like my car and dont have any problems with it.. yes i have always wanted turbo but its so hard to start all over.. I know every little problem with my car... and i dont know what i'd be getting into with another project, know what i mean?

i definitely know what you mean with you know the car and everything, but you just have to think about what you want in another year or 2, and you will prolly never get an offer like this again, maybe it's more important to think of what kind of car you may even want to replace this one.

Good point.

If you like your car, I don't think that you can find a similar car for that price. $7000 doesn't buy too much other than a stock car or a modified (possibly messed up) car.

 

Dude, you'll never get 7 offered for it again. I'd take 7, but obviously if the car means more to you to keep it, and sell for more of a loss later I'd understand. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

To me It's worth nothing because I learned my lesson and am not gonna buy another modified car.

7 thousand is an awsome price, but if you really don't want to get rid of your car than keep it. I know I am not getting rid of my car anytime soon. And honestly don't see myself getting rid of it at all. I love it. But that's your decision.

 

if you're not gonna die after selling it, i would suggest you selling it for 7k!

 

I understand how you feel, cause I just pretty much overhauled my car. Everything under the hood is brand new, Engine was built, everything replaces under the hood. Now I was working on exterior/interior.

If someone gave me 7, I would buy a brand new car, with no problems, no doubt. But I'd also have higher insurance, a car payment, and a stock car.

If you going to sell it just to buy another project, keep it and just have fun with the one you already know everything about.

Yeah, i met up with the guy and we talked... and i just couldnt do it.. B/c i would be getting another project that i would modify.. and in the end just lose more money. It would take well over 7 grand to get another integra and get it up to par with where mine is now.. so whats the point?

Also i talked to the guy and he only wants to buy it to get around after he sells his BMW while he's saving up for an M3 then he'll just get rid of it... I love my car to much to let someone shorten its life by not caring about it..

 

i woulda sold it if someone gave me 5....
