crank pulley help
whats up guys. my brother had an b18a in his 89 hatch and crashed it so i bought the motor from him and went to put it in my 91 si and it didnt fit due to the crank pulley hitting the engine bay because of the power steering sprocket. first off im not really sure why it would fit in one ef and not another so if you have any answers to that i would like to know. so i bought a ctr n1 crank pulley to replace it and it doesnt bolt on. the pulley that i took off was round with just the key and the ctr pulley has sprockets on the inside and doenst fit onto my crank. i was wondering what crank pulley i need to get to fit on my crank and to clear the engine bay. if you guys can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. later

Have you tried to hammer in the bay to clear the pulley? If you don't want to do that, you could have a competent machinist shave off the P/S section of the pulley.

I had the AC & PS cut off, slid in the bay easy.
When I had this problem I was told to install the engine from the bottom....
And that N1 pulley should fit. Those little grooves on the inside don't really align with anything, just the key does.

i checked again and rechecked to see if the n1 pulley actually fit and it didnt..so i took the pulleys to a machine shop today and theyre going to see whats up. thanks for your help
