Default D16 Header/cat/exhaust question

Heres the question, I have a 99 dx hatch with a d16y7 wich has the cat built into the header right after it comes off of the head. Im pretty sure if you buy a header and cat back, That will leave no room for a cat inbetween, is this true? And if so, is a header for a y8 the same? or would that leave room for a cat? im trying to get a cat in there to pass emissions w/o welding. also what have u guys done with the o2 sensor that is after the cat on a no cat system?

I put a dc sport header on my dx and it bolted right up to the stock dx intermediate pipe, (the one that goes all the way to the muffler), but that meant that I didn't have a cat. my solution was to then buy an aftermarket cat, a bosal, becasue i couldn't find a stock one. but i also had to buy the intermidiate pipe for a civic ex, because it is shorter. a slight issue may be the muffler, the dx flange is smaller then the ex pipe. I used a used SI muffler i got from a friend and that worked fine. the secondary O2 sensor can be bypassed easily with an o2 simulator, http://www.o2simulator.com 30 bucks with shipping, i installed mine at the ecu instead of under the car, you have to also simulate the heater circuit. i've had it for about 10 months with no problem

best thing to do is convert to a full exhuast system at the same time. that includes the header, cat, and cat back.

im deffinitly going to go full exhaust at one time. and im going to go full megan racing (4-2-1 header - drift spec cat back) so i schould just buy the cat-back part for a civic ex coupe and that will leave room for a cat?

ok but what im saying is, if i bought the megan racing header, and megan racing cat back, that would leave no room for a cat, is there any posible way to get a cat to bolt up w/o welding?

thje first o2 is the primary, you just need a simulater for the second one. that one is not really important.
