I myself have found them to be off require insanly pickness to get even half decent readings.

I'm honestly not a fan, I tried being as retentive as I could setting one up and still was pretty far of my slip times.

I've heard 2 different people who love it, but I dunno if they ever tested it vs track and dyno. I wonder if there is a 30 day whatev so that you could test it and get your money back if you think it's BS.

I had the first G-Tech and I have the current model without the PC program, the SS. I liked the old one and I like the new one a lot more. The new one has lots more functions, it actually sticks to your windshield, saves past runs and is self leveling making it easier to use.

I haven't tried the new one at the strip because they won't allow my rear mounted battery the way it is set up. From what I read in forums it is pretty close to strip times if you stage the way G-Tech says to.

I use mine to see if changes in my car help make more power. For example I have three different intakes for my car. One only makes a little more power than the other. Both times I compared the two I got the same difference. Fast cars are made from many small improvements. With the G-tech you can see for sure if a change is really an improvement.

G-tech has a large website with a complete manual that tells you everything the unit does.
