Apparently there seems to be a 1/3" or 1/2" gap between the fuel rail and intake manifold where the stud screws into the mounted bosses. The injectors are seated pretty firmly into their sockets too. The rail seems to sit just fine on the stock intake manifold.

anyone else have this problem? I wasn't aware that there might be different fuel rails for different year GSRs
