My first ticket ever was for 90 in a 65, and the bail came out to $184.75, I think. I paid some fee to take traffic school, so I can't remember what it exactly came out to, but maybe that's a decent estimate.

I was caught going 81mph in a 65mph zone. I5 near Manteca. It was only $115.25. This was August of last year.

$115.25
$26 traffic school
$4.50 processing fee

Total: $145.75

wait a few days and call the number on the back of the ticket.. listen to the choices and i think its the one that says "to gain specific information about your citation"

or you could go down to the carol miller justice center and get in line.. which takes (depending on which day) about 10 minutes to get through.
if you are lowered i suggest having a friend drive you as the exit of the parking lot will be a bitch.

btw... it takes tickets forever to process.. so if you just got it.. id wait a week.. and then call the number every day til it works.

but to your actual question which i totally ignored until this point.. id say a base minimum of $175.. definitely do traffic school as well. it is worth the 30 or so bucks. good luck man.

you should hire a traffic laywer. they usually get it dismissed. the laywers go for around $150. beats going to court and traffic school

If the limit is 65mph then it must be on the highway.. was it in one of those orange sign construction zone?

If it is, I believe the ticket is doubled. As to what the sign says.

If not, then It should be around 200-280.

74 in a 65 in sac was $127 and 70 in a 55 near susanville was $170. Both earlier this year. Luckily I wasn't driving either time .

All ya gotta do is contest the ticket, then fight it with a trial by declaration, that way, you'll have a 50/50 shot at beating the ticket.

it should be somewhere around $160, but u can go to court and have the judge reduce it down to almost 50%

i got a speed contest ticket (60 in 45) and the fine was 100$ (but with some other bs) it came out to 315$ + 2pts on the license. with a clean driving record i was saving 528$ a year on my insurance so you can see what that did for me. (im in 714 btw if that means anything) - also traffic school was not available. if on your ticket next to the violation it will say Correctable violation? and if no is checked 9 times outa 10 that means you cannot goto traffic school.

Make sure you ask to be last on the court roster, so you can motion for the judge/commissioner to reduce your fine, if there are too many people in the courtroom the judge/commissioner will be a hardass and deny your motion to reduce. Always hit the judge/commisioner up at the end of the court roster, and you can even explain your financial/school situation and motion for a stay of fine/execution.

The average is about $11 for every miles over the limit.
