Default how much is a tranny

How much would i be looking at for a used good condition tranny + install ? any guesses also is anyone selling 1 .

well first you need to say what car, then what tranny you want, after that you go into classifieds or ebay or whatever and find a tranny you want and then either read up on how to do it yourself, which is fairly simple after some research, or you can find someone on here to help you out. from now on SEARCH before posting, because this thread sucks and im sure this has been asked a million times before.

If your talking D16 trannys
I just sold 2 Y7 5sp trans for $60 each, they were in great shape. One of those shouldn't be hard to find for around $100. You'll pay a little more for a Y8 or Si trans to get the shorter gearing, but they usually top out at around $200-$250 for one in great shape. Install cost all depends on who you take it to.

yea, the d-series tranny are cheaper...i have a y7 that i have no use for...but i'm located in MN...email me if you are interested...still in good condition...but if you're looking for something else...good luck!!

well its hard to tell there are some transvestites that are loads more expensive than others(usually cause there pimps are ********)u got to look around for a good one. imo
