Paintjob
pretty sure waaaaaaaaay wrong forum, and no, maco sucks ***. I say sand and prep the car yourself, then take it to a place like that to save money. then youc an be sure its been prepped correctly.
Yup, if you prep your car and prime it... then maaco would be a good place.. otherwise.. good luck in finding one that does all the work for you for less than $1000
its already primed, how much would i be looking at from here to just paint it a decent white.
I was hoping a bright very bright white but thats too much so ill probably just do a regular white.

I had a thread like this in the so cal section. no place was under 1000, but then again I wanted a full color change, you just need paint & clear. I'll see if I can dig it up. maaco & earl sheib jobs don't usually last more than 3-5 years(even if you take great care of it and get their top of the line package). My car was fully sprayed by earl sheib back in 2003(the previous owner payed to have the car repainted) less than a month before I bought it, fast forward 3 years and it needs it again.

Yah ^^^ what he said, I also had my last car, my del sol, painted at a 1 day paint and body after i prepped the car and i paid for their top of the line job 750 bucks, and about a year later the paint started to really fade hardcore, and the dipshits didn't take off my smaller seals to paint it either, I had to argue with them for months to get those parts fixed. Also, the fucktards painted my muffler blue, idiots forgot to mask it. But luckily I had my new tanabe super racing medalion on its way over seas. My suggestion is to actually not even go with a place like this.
here ya go.

also if somebody has "a friend" that can do it really cheap chances are it's probally a con. Back when I made that thread some guy forget his username, PMd me saying he could do a full color change for 1800 if I paid cash...I was all for it. Till he told me that that price was good only if I bought his header & that he'd have to drive it there and then deliver it back to me when it was completed, he also refused to tell me the name of his "friends" shop or a phone # where I could reach him(sound llike a scammer to anyone else?). If it sounds too good to be true it usually is(especially when it's from someone out of te lue like that).
