non-abs conversion pix?
hey, i'm guessing with as many s2k race cars as there are on this site, atleast a few are converted to non-abs. anyone got pix of their conversion?

ar..yes or no
it's very much depended on the driver's perferrence.
on some car, the abs cuts in way too early for any good(yet to bring the S to the willow, so i can't say how i like them or dont like them), and you can play around with brake distrabution(rear baised) more alot simpler without the pump.
just for the record i like it without the abs.
it's not so much about weight, it's more of personal perferrence.

i tracked my car one day without ABS.. One of my sensors was out so it disables the whole ABS system. It wasn't bad, just be careful not to flat spot the tires. Overall i prefer my abs to be in working order
definately driver preference, i removed it from a dc2 and after removing the modulator, lines, wiring, and computer, i would say i saved a pretty decent amount of weight. that alone may not have done a whole lot but it definately adds up. not to mention i could always put a linelock in the space where the abs was.

It is driver's preference, however, when you start talking about brake biasing then you can throw out a stock braking system. For a stock, or even midly modded S2000, I believe the OEM brake system is sufficient.
For a serious racer, removing the ABS and setting up an adjustable brake bias system is more beneficial.

This also is dependent upon the series you plan on racing in. There are only so many unlimited classes or ones that would allow removal of the abs
