manifold heat wrap on oem?

Default manifold heat wrap on oem?

i have a very nice oem 99-00 d16y8 exhaust manifold, and was wondering if its a bad idea to heat wrap it?

It might crack the manifold because of how much heat it will retain.

You would be wasting your time and money to heat wrap a stock manifold!

You can definately wrap it, but like others have said it might crack the oem exh. mani., and you probably aren't going to see any results.

Buy a heatshield froma junkyard or something. I'm assuming this has something to do with a heating issue?
