What is "HPDE 4" separate from "Instructors" ??

 

Makes me think of the S2000/Lotus/Miata woman with red hair...stuck there because HPDE4ers can avoid her...

Edit: Though, why is it more expensive for them than anyone else, especially if they definitely won't have an instructor?

 

HPDE4 is technically the instructor group but we use it for Comp license eval candidates to register

You're not afraid people are going to register for it thinking it's a super group or a group like the ROW "Group 4" ?

I mean, without this explanation, I'd have been tempted to register for both Group 3 and Group 4.

This is highlighted in blue in the description of the event on the registration page:

This event is on the Main Track at Summit. Activities will include all levels of HPDE, Time Trials, all NASA Race groups and a license evaluation for a small number of entrants wishing to obtain their race license. Prior to enrolling in the license eval (HPDE 4 below), please e-mail your experience to chris@nasaracing.net to be approved.

 

Well, if you're going to go expecting people to read and stuff, I just don't know what.
