Default Good to learn with?

I have been doing lots of reading and practicing a bit with my welder. (Lincoln Weldpack 100hd) and I was wondering if learning how to weld with flux core is a good idea or should I get a tank of argon and the conversion fittings for this welder? I figure flux core is good for some stuff that doesn't require super strong welds. ( I made a rolly cart for my tool box and I am working on a cart for the welder). Any input would be greatly appreciated.
