update on my car
i recently posted about my car having a bad paint job and today i went in to have it looked at by the place that painted it...here's the deal...the guy told me this:
about 2-3 years ago the car had some major repairs that were probably expensive...he said around 4 grand in repairs...he doesn't know if it was a wreck or not (i don't think it was cuz i looked up the vin online and the car had never been wrecked) but he said that the entire body had been repainted and that many unusual spots are starting to appear on the body due to excess body putty expanding or whatever from the heat...i really wish i hadn't heard that cuz i thought my car was in excellent condition but it appears that it's not...and also the guy said that he noticed at least 3 places on the body where rust is starting to work it's way out from the inside and this will eventually cause a large hole in the side of my car if i don't get it fixed...*furious now*....so the guy says that he will call my insurance company for me and tell them the situation because when i took it to them for repair he said that he would get rid of the rusted metal that had been created from my particular wreck...so at least he is working with me instead of against me so i'm hoping it will turn out better this time...then he went on to say that the only way to fix it for an indefinite longer amount of time would be for him to sand the body down to the metal and then cut out any rusted areas and reweld metal back in those areas and sand it down again and repaint it (and btw if it comes to this my car is gonna be black instead of ghey *** light blue)...so basically my car is in worse shape then i thought...which really fockin sucks!...grr
...
cliff notes: my car is in not so good condition body wise and i just realized i may have payed too much for the car since it has been repainted and repaired to this extent...and i'm pissed...

dude that totally blows...so when you bought the car noone told you that it had been repainted b4?? that really does suck...sorry to here this man..hope everything turns out for the good!
just because the VIN wasnt listed as wrecked doesnt mean it was never been in an accident. a few of my friends cars have been in accidents, but never reported, so the body may have had work done on it.
Yeah that sucke dude, but I think the car has been wrecked because it is pretty dam hard to get up too four thousand in repairs and need a paint job with out some major damage. Also if you say you paid to much hell there might be a case of frud.
private...i payed 6200 for it last june...but...he was the second owner and was selling it after 2 years of use...so going back to this guy won't help me much i don't think!...oh well...i never figured i'd keep the car forever *sigh*...but it is sorta of heart-breaking to know that your car isn't in very good shape after you thought it was in near-perfect condition...oh well...the guy that i talked to sorta hinted on trying to get insurance to pay for it because of some clause found in a lot of people's insurance...but i don't know how that's gonna work out...insurance doesn't usually pay for that sorta thing...
