Quaife steering rack question
Hey guys, i did some searching on the forums and found you need to have a 92-95 DX non-power steering rack to be able to use the quaife. I was wondering though how much faster/less turns it takes compaired to my stock GSR rack. I dont mind loosing the power steering, i just would like to have a little bit quicker steering in the car. Also, does the rack just bolt right in? Anyone know of any install pages on it? Thanks.
Might want to check out http://www.teamintegra.net and see if they have a write up on there about this. A lot of those guys are tech junkies. I used to have one of their mods as an instructor...dude was a nerd, but knew what the hell he was talking about. I don't see why the Civic rack couldn't be used on an Integra since we share the same chassis basically.
HONDA_TYPE_R,
I checked there, really wasnt any information on that site about the steering rack.
96 GSR-T,
oh rly, do you remember the part # at all? it says that the quaife rack #'s are the same for the civic and the integra. How much quicker is the steering compaired to the stock rack?

well the quicker steering ratio, im just wondering how much quicker it is then the gsr/integra steering rack is. I actually like the way no p/s feels more then the p/s on the integra.

The stock Civic rack is slightly slower than the stock Integra rack. With the quaife unit the rack is slightly quicker than the Integra, but not by much.
