whatever the book time is to R&R pistons and rings..

which is a good chunk of money

and yes they do fit

go with p30 pistons more compression that itr will give you
do you have the block already disassembled???

id go with ctr pct, just double your headgasket and wuala...compression somewhere in the 12's. dyno tune that bitch so it can safely run on 91 octane and hp and torque will feel better than any oem pistons...but it's just me

and yes, it will fit...unless your going for oversized 81.5mm

pct pistons are crappy and heavy, i would only use them for serious race and rarely driven applications

go with some JDM ITR, PR3 or P30 for the best tuneable daily driver compression ratio

What's your source of information? Those crappy heavy pistons yield some serious compression numbers. It all depends on what kind of block you put the pistons in. If it's a GSR, PCT pistons or P73's are going to yield compression numbers a bit over 12:1, from what I have seen, a lot of people use P30 pistons in the GSR block so there compression won't be too high.

I know they yield high compression numbers but they is their down fall, it usually gives too high of a compression ratio for daily driving on pump gas, you need to tune quite a bit

I have weighed the PCT and it is quite a bit heavier than the P30's I put in my LSvtec block

I have also read about valve clearances issues and un-equal fuel spray patterns because of the high dome

Im not saying they are pieces of crap that should never have been made, I would just not personally reccomend them for daily driving, but they would be a good pistons for a serious all motor build

Well freakin' put. I'd rather run P30's in a GSR block myself...same for LS-VTEC.

its not all about compression..

the dome volume is huge, which affects burn..

the jdm itr is a much better oem piston than the ctr would ever dream of being, and much better valve clearance.
