well i have an ek that i just recently bought. the ek has a new motor which is aa d16y8. it a 2000 ex motor i think. but the motor is missing a cat, the o2 sensor that goes to the cat, and a iat sensor. well my problem is that when i turn it on, it idel ok, it stay a steady 1000. well when i barely push the gas pedal, when the rpm goes to about 2500, the rpm fluctuate. this make the car shakes. this is happening while the cluctc is press or the tranny is in nuetral. the rpm keep doin that until i rev it beyond 3500. if i keep the rpm between 2500-3500 then the rpm would fluctuate but beyond that the car runs like a champ. i was hoping if anyone else had this problem and how to fix it. i label all the things that are missing in my car in hope of one of those is the cause of the problem. thank you everyone for your input.

 

Have you checked your TPS sensor or your IACV yet? Also check your vaccum lines. I'll almost bet that it's one of those 3 thing's.

You get a multy meter. and with the key onacc. stick the multy meter in the signal wire. and see if you are getttgin 0.5V at Idle. and arround 4.5 at WOT.

make sure all your sensors are plugged in right
and chcek for vacuum leaks
(take a can of carb cleaner and spray around all your gaskets and hoses where the vacuum mite be leaking, and if your car starts to sputter or die when you spray somewhere the leak is there)
