Default 99-00 Civic Coupe Spoiler EX vs SI

I bought a 99 SI that has a stock spoiler, but i really can't stand driving with it. it's right in the line of site out the rearview.

Does anyone know if the spoiler from an EX will mount into the same holes the SI already has? I dont really want to remove the spoiler and fill the holes. But replacing either the whole lid with one that has no holes, or replacing the stock SI spoiler with an EX one seem to be the best solution, for me.

thanks in advance...

An EX spoiler will bolt into the spoiler hole locations.

The wing does get in the way, but you do get used to it. But to anwser you question i beleive a EX spoiler will fit with no problems.

true im pretty used to it. it doesnt really obscure the view that much! it helps determine who's tailgating though. If their headlights are shining below the bottom of the spoiler... it's time to hit the brakes

thanks guys.. the area i live in is really bad with cops. i dont want to be out, and take the chance i've had a few drinks and i can't tell that a cop has pulled up behind me. so no the wing is not that bad, but i'm not willing to chance it. and i think its distracting on hilly roads when headlights sometimes shine over it, then are blocked then underneath it... i will try the ex, unless i can find a trunk lid with no holes at all, which i'd prefer.

no, it's red.

99-00 civic ex and si came with the same spoiler.
96-98 spoilers are shorter.

i would prefer that, but i dont want to do any body work to fill the holes. the car is all original with only 35k miles. i dont want to start doing paint work on it. if i can find a trunk lid with no spoiler i'd swap it out and keep the original trunk with the spoiler in storage.
