Default Free-Hand Camo Valve Cover

Just swapped in a clean D16a6 in my 91 CRX Si yesterday and decided to paint a valve cover to clean it up a little more. I found a can of black, red and iron grey engine enamel in the garage but the grey was broke so I used a silver one that was laying around and I'm pretty pleased with it considering its free-hand.

The 1.5 DX was crapping out and my tranny diff was going. Then I pulled it and checked the oil filter and there was a chip out of the rubber seal so that explains why it was leaking and giving me no oil pressure. I spend 100$ on the A6 with 150k and i'm quite happy with it.

Yea, I can't really complain with the outcome. I never liked the EF SOHC valve covers so I wasnt going in expecting much, but I think its an improvement from before.

Well it took me about 10 minutes to do with a spare valve cover. Once again I don't like sohc valve covers and this was more of an experiment. I'll probly end up going over it in black in the future.

I also realize that if I had a B series valve cover painted camo with a little more time into it everyone would be drooling over it.

As far as beast goes, I just took it out and that **** pulls. I'd say with a decent set of radials I could easily pull a low 15 to 15 flat. On street tires I'm probly hitting a low 15.

All in all its a stock motor in a full interior 91 Si and I'll keep up with any 15 second car.

It's not cause it's SOHC, it's cause it's a really bad job. No offense. Just the lines aren't clean.

yea i understand. I was gonna stencil it but i'm kinda lazy and decided to see what I could do free-hand with a spray can. I just personally think sohc valve covers for the crx/civic are ugly.

yea....I've already cried, punched a wall, then took a bat to my valve cover

I'm pretty handy with paint and all that stencil **** so I have the option to go back and do it right with the original colors I wanted as I think silver helped ruin it...or I could just spray it satin black
