sounds about right. you should be in the low 15's
a eg hatch is about 2400lbs i think about 200 pounds lighter than a gsr. so low 15's are about right

well it uses rather high comp (not the highest, but still pretty okay) -- if you put a bit into building it up (high comp valves, valve retainers, springs, high comp pistons/forged rods, lightweight crank and flywheel)

You can throw some boost on it then and have some nice time..depends what ur budget is I guess...

Yeah, your 60' is where your lacking. What kind of tires are you running, what preasure were they at and how bad was it spinning?

You can let some air out the tires for a little more traction. I ran mine at 20psi and picked up 2 tenths in the 60'.

sounds like you need to slip the clutch at launch instead of dropping it and bogging or spinning. times arent bad at all for your first time at the track. a little more experience and you will be in the 14s no doubt, but launch is whats gonna drop your times the most. and whoever told you an EG hatch w/ a gsr swap would run low 14s must have though you meant on slicks or drag radials atleast.

well i figured out that my p 72 ecu had ben chipped via a sst chip which is one of those that you can burn your own program and or settings as far as fuel map and timing ex......

that was wrelly screwing with my performance so i went and bought a different chip that was geard more twords stock settings exept vtec ciks at 5500 and fuel is a bit defferent.
boy i tell you after that the car felt way beater as far as throttle responce and as soon as i hit vtec it starts pulling like a muta f***er.
plus i went to see a tire guy and as soon as he saw my tires he starded laghing
and told me woow you wrelly went to the track with these? so any way he hooked me up with some drag radials with some rota slips

well to all that visited my tread i want to thank you verry mutch and thanks for all the comments and advice i will go and try again and see if i can get some better times i will let yoa all know what happens

and the 5 poasts a day thing wrelly sucks but i'll go with the flow thanks and se ya all araund..........mike

It's not your car, noob: it's your shitty driving. 2.5x 60-foot = you suck and your times will too.

60 feet time is horrible. And with 180 hp GSR with a B16 tranny you should be in the mid 14s easy. I think you need more practice. Take my buddies old cx hatch with a b16, ctr cams, gsr tranny (i know stupid) he ran a 14.4 on steelies

Werd:

15.2's are what GSR's run and even faster at times. All Eg GSR hatches I say should be hittin atleast high 14's and 90% of the time at least 14.5 or better.

Keep drivin and practice more.

And other people have B16's and they run 9.xx's and then drive the car home on a different set of tires. How about you give a little information on the engine and chassis before you make another worthless post?

That 60 is killing you. A good rule of thumb is every .1 in the 60 is worth .15 on the big end. If you can just drop that to a respectable 2.0-2.1 you will see a hell of an improvement. What kind of mph were you seeing? Should have been about 94-95 if the motor is healthy.

yes i will agree....your 60's are horrrible....it would be nice to enlighten us as to what you dropped your R's at on the line and whether you slipped or dumped the clutch..

to give more info

i had a 98 dx hatch
b16a2
ebay intake
apexi n1 exhaust..
LS header...
no backseats
195/50/15 falken ziex

dropped at 5k
2.1 60ft
15.032 1/4...

i think the avg for a gsr hatch is mid 14's...there is a lightly modded all motor one around me thats gutted and its best was 13.9...not to shabby...
