MagnaFlow is pleased to announce that we have just released our new cat back exhaust systems 16687 for the 2006 Civic 1.8L Coupe/Sedan DX/LX/EX and 16688 for the 2.0 Civic SI Coupe. For specs on the system’s configuration, pipe size, layout and tip configuration, see picture below:

The new cat back system for this application has been dyno'd to produce around 5 hp and 4 lbs. ft of torque. It features full mandrel bends (no compression bends, like those done at muffler shops) for maximum flow and a straight through, wide open muffler with NO baffles, NO chambers and NO restrictions.
The system installs with simple hand tools and in most cases, can be installed by the average do-it-yourselfer in 30-60 minutes.

I just had mine installed. The shop that installed it said it was not a direct fit system for my EX sedan. It apparently was a few inches too short and the hangers didnt quite line up either. Also the bolts provided were too short. So my first impressions are fairly good. It sounds good when revved and while driving. I cant seem to hear the intake anymore.
It looks good installed. Sporty looking and not Ricey fart can looking. It smells some (normal I think)? Is there an adjustment period for the ECU when installing these? Not sure Ive experienced any power gains though Ive only driven it a few minutes. ALso I can feel slight vibration when my arm is on the center armwrest. I will take photos later when batteries get charged up.

OK-
After driving around for an hour. There is Definately a performance increase with this exhaust (at the price of more noise) The stock exhaust is virtually silent with that said, this magnaflow is definatley audible in the cabin at lower rpm's and seems to quite down at cruising speeds.

Is this exhaust even an "upgrade" while still using the stock cat?
