Default newbie need help!

hello, im a newbie here... i already did a search on this but no luck...
i just bought a 96 lx accord and i love it...
unfortunately, it wont pass the emission since the CEL is on... the seller said he had it checked and its the O2 sensor... i was hoping that i can replace it myself but i am not sure if its that simple of just unscrewing it form the manifold or if i need a special tool to do it...
also, i noticed that my SRS light came on... is there anything i can do to turn it off so i can get my car inspected...
any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

all you need to do the 02 sensor is a 7/8 deep crowsfoot socket and it should come out if it isn't rusted in.

If it is rusted in you can use some penatrating oil or warm up the car to expand the metal (wear heat resistant cloves when you do that optoin)

thanks for the replies...
i checked the location of the O2 sensor... i saw that the base of the sensor is furthur inside the exhaust manifold sheild... do i still need to take out that manifold sheild or i can directly unscrew the sensor if i have a deep socket wrench?

could this be the main reason why my CEL is on? as far as the seller told me, he said that this was the diagnosis of the mechanic. i just hope that this is the only reason. i cant have the emission done cuz he said it will not pass.. DMV just gave me a month to have the car inspected to let me register it for one full year...
thanks for the offer MooGoCow3, but you are just too far from me... i do appreciate it though... once i get my car all inspected, my first project should be the body work..
