Default Need help with Kenwood Excelon Cd Player

I just bought the kdc-x890 model cd player cause my pioneer deck broke. After i hooked up the new kenwood deck it sounded like **** compared to the pioneer. I messed with every audio setting possible. I couldnt get any bass out of it. Has anyone else tried this deck? Is there something i cant find in the manual that makes it sound better?

when you hooked up your new radio did you use a harness?, Also did you make sure that your speaker wires were connected right. You could of threw your speakers out of phase if the polarity is not right,

Yea i used a wiring harness. Im positive i have the speakers wired up right i check over all the wires to make sure. Im thinking that maybe kenwood decks just dont have good sound. Im gonna take it to a local stereo shop tomarrow and ask him why it sounds like **** lol. Any other ideas?

yea I would check your speaker harness again. It easy to slip and make a mistake. It happens to the best of us. Is the power rating of the pioneer = kenwood? If not the output of the speakers is not going to sound the same. A lack of base responce sounds more like a speaker being out of phase, Are thoses stock speakers you are using?

a mix up could of occured when the new speakers were installed. so its throwwing of the wires at the harness.

**** you were right i had one wire mixed around for my 6x9's in the back. So they were canceling each other out. Haha thanks for the help. I now must say this deck kicks ***. Has just as much power as my old pioneer. Thanks to you i rechecked all my wires. I was so sure i had them right lol. Welp thanks again you saved me 40 bucks plus shipping for a restocking fee.
