GSR= I have no idea
ok i have a 93 civic hatchback with a jdm gsr swap and it just started to act funny ...when i am in first gear and hit it and shift and grab 2nd gear the entire car shuts off and then turns back on right away, if i stay in the gas after the problem vtec will not engage until 7500 rpms. Does anybody know whats wrong with my car.
im tired of it doing this...the only good part is 2ed gear when it pulls like a raped ape from 7500 to 8200..... i just wanna drive into a house

Whoever did the wiring on your car and chipping of your ECU needs to be shot dead in the face.
It sounds like your VTEC isn't wired correctly or your chip is fukked.
How does the car pull in first/third gear?
If VTEC works 100% fine in first and third gear then your VTEC solenoid and oil pressure sensor is fine, but the ECU is weak.
Try getting a friend to let you hook up their ECU to your car and see how it runs then. ECU's are plug and play and it only takes about 15 minutes to swap an ECU.

It might seem like too simple of a solution but I have seen it before. Is your battery grounding out on the firewall? The battery in the EG HB's has terminals extremely close to the firewall. Might be worth a quick check. The jerking motion from shifting from 1st to 2nd might be rocking the battery.

EXACTLYi was just going to say that, that same **** happend to be and i was trying to figure it out for the longest time, and i was about to pull my hair out, and then one day i looked at the firewall where the terminal was and wat do u know it was ground itself out on the firewall, even made holes in the firewall like a plasma cutter or something

check your battery connections. i know one time i was driving at night and had to break real hard for a stoplight, and when i did my entire car shut off in the middle of the street it was completly dead. I got out and notice my terminal had popped off.
