Yes, I have a job. That's my evening schedule this week.
I change my oil after 2 track events. Sometimes that's every couple weeks. Mobil 1 15w50.

My schedule this week:

Tuesday: Leave work early but dick with non-starting GSR in the parking lot for 30 minutes. End up leaving regular time
Wednesday: Leave work early to get home and bullshit at the custom shop in town. Go to Wal-Mart to buy oil change supplies but they don't have oil

15W50 huh? Is that what Mazda recommends?
I've seen several posts about oil viscosity, and don't recall anyone running thicker than 10W30 in their track Hondas.

Does Honda recommend 15W50? That is what is going in the GSR tonight.
Why? Hot temps at the track plus pushing the car hard = hot temps in the engine = thinner oil
Cobra - Who doesn't like it when Hondas lose oil pressure

Oh yeah, I totally forgot it was like 100 degrees outside. Hmmm, looks like Mobil has gone from TriSynthetic to SuperSyn, whatever that means.

As soon as the oil changes color, out it comes and new synthetic goes in. Seriously. I'm a freak about that.

How can anyone possibly not use Mobil 1? It is inconceivable. Unthinkable. Mind-boggling.
This touches on many earlier discussions. I've been a Mobil 1 synthetic user for many years, and rarely questioned it even when I could get RedLine or Amsoil or Royal Purple for the same price per quart. Maybe it's the legacy, or the logo, or the bottle, or the refinement rumors... but it's never done me wrong since I've never popped a motor due to oiling issues.
But what sealed the deal? At Sebring last month, I counted at least 25 pro teams using the *exact same* Mobil 1 synthetic, in 6-qt cases, that I'm so familiar with. How many RedLine/Amsoil/Royal Purple-using teams did I see? Exactly two, neither of which completed the entire 12-hour race. Holy ****, I remember thinking, their crankshafts alone are worth more than my entire go-fast effort. They must know that Mobil 1 oWnZ j00.

1) Mobil 1 bottles look the coolest
2) Mobil 1 is the oldest synthetic oil
3) The pimpy red cap (15W50)
4) The number "1" in the name - because I like to think of myself as the best so I can relate to that

That is the order of importance as well. If Valvoline were to re-design their bottles I might switch. I don't know.
