well, i just recently swaped in my d16z6 into my 97 hatch and ive been having problems.

First off, when i start the engine the rpm likes to jump from 2000 rpm to 800 rpm for a minute or two then it sits at 1000 rpm.

Once i start to drive it around and come to a stop the engine starts to stumble (700 rpm-800 rpm) but when driven it feels fine. There has been times when im driving and the engine just feels like its going to bog out; its like my timing just went retarded...(bad throttle respond).

Finally, im not sure if this is normal or what but when im in gear 1 and about to go the engine just rocks back and forth really hard. (its as if im a newbie at manual driving). ive just been putting a lot of gas into it to avoid this.

*are all d-series oil pan the same?* lets say, z6 and y7

so far ive checked the FITV (cleaned), IACV (clean), and all vacuum hoses. im guessing its my timing but not sure...i am using a adjustable cam gear and when i did the timing i was off by half a gear...so i just adjust with the cam gear and dizzy.

a lot of questions, i know but PLEASE HELP!
