Default WHY NOT TO BUY INNOVATIVE MOUNTS

My shop sent them Stock honda S2000 Mounts off my customers car on 5-04-06, said they would need them for a week to mock up some specs and do the CAD and make a billet/polly set. And they would ship them back asap. Well one week turned to two, then 2 turned to 3, no answer 3 turned to a month, then on 5-05-06 out of the blue, they call to say they need the block bracket, and they should be done with all my OEM parts in a day or two. So 2 day air them the block brackets 5-8-06 and still no word. Then 6-25-06 JUST the 2 OEM rubber mounts show up, not everything. I call to tell them something was missing, No answer as of 6-29-06 They won't even pick up the shop phone. How do you run a business without picking up call 8 hours a day? So now having my very patient customer waiting the whole 2 months for his car back, he got fed up and I had to buy OEM brackets and mounts. $500!!!!!!!!! So heres a flame thread on INNOVATINVE MOUNTS.

Well that sucks.

They were prototyping off your mounts?

Make them buy their own to prototype with.

you paid $500 for the brackets and mounts could have gotten them on ebay or a junk yard for 1/5th of that. If even that...... I think the customer could have waited another day or two if hes been waiting two months already

day or two??

it took them a month before they even got a call hearing from Innovative!!

my brother-in-law just bought a set of mounts off ebay from them. took them 1.5weeks to send a tracking number (after he called and complained). not to mention that they still hadn't sent out the mounts.

they have very bad customer service

i see 100% nothing wrong with it. it takes time to make parts.....if you weren't 100% sure you had the time...you shouldn't have sent them in, plain and simple. yes they said it'd not take so long...but, i mean.....they NEED time to mock, write the program, test and all that ****.... pretty much, you're a dumbass for sending a customer's mounts to them....you should have either sent your own, or a spare set.

No I think you are a dumbass for talking. First of all. I used my customers mounts with his approval. He knew the time frame, and knew what we were doing with his OEM mounts for the prototype. Innovative said exactly what TOM@ CAMp said. they use our mounts for a prototype and we get free mounts. Second of all, when 2 weeks turns to two months, thats pretty extreme, yet I do understand. Some **** takes time. CAD takes time, Mock up takes time MFG takes time. etc etc. but 2 months is enough time to build a PINKS CAR. Figuring that INNOVATIVE does all their MFG and R&D in house, turn around time should be cut down greatly. ITS the lack of communication they have with me and my shop that I am pissed about. They wont even give me a Status quote on a time frame, wont even pick up the phone...leaving me with no answers for my customer so. now you are informed.

First of all, it shouldn't even take more then a couple days to mock up something small like engine mounts on CAD or SolidEdge or whatever they are using.

Whoever is doing there autocad sucks. I could do that in 5-6 hours and I have almost no experience with autocad except for messing around with it at work on slow days. I know at my shop the metal shop could probably have prototypes ready in less than 24 hours. But they do run 24/7. We don't even make parts for outside customers except for tooling, but a full time tooling department can do some cool stuff.

****, if they took that long to reply and they dont have the mounts, I would call their local PD, give them the address and the name of the person you were dealing with and sign a warrant for his arrest for theft by deception or fraud(if you gave them any money)

Chances are you will have your mounts back ASAP as a condition of dropping the charges

I talked to Dave at Innovative the other day and got the whole scoop. They were sent a BROKEN set of mounts and the set was not complete. They sent an email requesting the rest of the parts. the rest of the brakets came in about 3-4 weeks later. The parts that came were messed up so they could not even use them. Innovative got a new set of mounts ordered from the dealer and lined up a demo car. The parts were requested back and they were shipped back the same day. Innovative said they will still take care of him and give him a set once they are done. Innovative is making a kit that NO companies have made . CAD/CAM, machining, New urethane. alot of work has to go into anew product. No money was exchanged, ya at times thet might be hard to get a hold of but leave a message for email andthey always get backto me.

I saved all my E mails with dates and UPS shipping reciepts. So I have proof of my actions. i can show where I made an attempt to reach them numerous times. Do they have proof they mailed me a tracking # do they have proof they responded to my e mails? I think not. How did broken mounts come out of my customers almost new 100% stock car? I highly doubt that, and IF they were broken, why didn't they tell me? I think its a front. if they bought new mounts, and found a new demo car, why are they giving me the run around. And to be correct. they sent me 2 oem rubber mounts, where is my tranns mount and engine mount brackets? maybe if they opened my box of mounts and saw they were broken, why did they ask for the other pieces instead of sending my stuff back? Maybe you should have had INNOVATIVE contact me instead of talking to you about it.
