Default Fit Potential?

Im currently thinking about getting a Fit and i wanted to know how much potential does the Fit have in terms of "Go-Mods" what kind of mods are going to be or are already available for it. The car would be for daily driving and fun weekend drives and maybe Touge once in a while. I currently own a 1.8T GTI and i may want to trade it in for a honda Fit

I assume you mean power mods? Right now we are starting to see intakes, cat-backs and I think weapon*R even made a header. Aside from bolt-ons a few people have done turbo applications on the motor in the fit, but I have no idea what the gains were like. The Fit in the U.S. comes with a 1.5L motor that is anything but quick. Most people are just waiting anxiously for there to be a definitive answer as to whether or not the k-series motor can be reliably swapped in to the fit chassis.

For suspension, I can say that the t1r's are quite nice. I myself don't own a Fit but a friend does ^_^. I think cusco, eibach and a couple other companies are developing products currently.

Well since he hit the power mod points... there are many cosmetic mods (exterior) out there and in the making as well. Mugen has body kits, there are JDM LED tail lights, almost all 4x100 rims (depending on offset to clear the calipers) fit this vehicle, Coilovers are being manufactured and soon to be released, Springs are available, Sun Visors, Spoilers, Spoon has some products (Strut Bars, Short Antenna, Oil Cap, Radiator Cap, Etc.) and the list is growing as the fitting is being done almost weekly.

I think the best thing for the Fit would be a belt driven supercharger. A turbo kit would be nice but any aftermarket turbo kit gets complicated and unreliable. Superchargers are a relatively simple bolt-on unit. If someone comes up with one I would assume they'd also have a re-mapped ECU to match the supercharger.

The intake and exhaust add-ons might give you 9 more hp at 9 zillion rpm but the headache you get from all that extra (and what some people think is cool) noise isn't worth it.

I agree totally with this. Blitz makes a supercharger for the Scions and without upping the boost (6 or 7psi) people are respectively making 120-130whp. Not too shabby out of the little 1.5L.

I think I saw pics of the Fit's 1.5L supercharged somewhere, but I'll have to look again.

I, personally, don't wish to do an engine swap or make lots of crazy power in my Fit. That's what my S2000 is for. I am, however, going to put an ASpec intake and exhast on it, maybe get a B-pipe for it and change the wheels. Then I'll have a fun, sporty and sort-of peppy daily driver.

i was hoping to be able to make at least 200-230whp out of the fit, whether it be to motor swap or not. I think that would be 1 hell of a Fit to drive. I'm not to sure if i would spend money on a supercharger thats only going to put down 130whp. I'm not to sure about the Fit right now, and i know its not made to be a fast car, but niether was the civic and i hope htey would come out with something rather interesting. Coming from a 205whp 230lbtq GTI to a 109hp Fit is a hard decision sometimes =/ , but i really like the new styling of the Fit and i have always been a fan of "small" cars
