i have done a swap in my 92 lude and i go and turn it over and it runs fine. I go and step on the gas and it sounds like **** and no acceleration. ive check my wires and they seem good, so i have no idea what could be wrong,My #1 and #4 cylinders are cold and 2 and 3 or hot. please help

 

Have you checked the timing on it?

What about firing order?

 

i pulled my engine codes and my CEL rings off code 36 three long flashes by 6 short. anyone know what this code is??

Are you sure its a Code 36 because according to the ECU Codes, 36 is "36 traction control" - what ECU are you running?

 

Sounds like ignition timing, and hopefully you won't need a new distributor like I did. The right way to check it is with a timing light, so find someone or a shop with one and have them use it on your car. Or you can guesstimate by leaving your car running (if it can even idle), loosen the 3 12mm bolts on the distributor and then slide it until it "sounds" right. Remember, the metal peice on the rotor should be facing where the Cylinder #1 terminal is (lower left) when the crankshaft is at TDC.
