92-95 Civic Motor Mount / Engine Damper study???
OK, here's the deal. We are tryig to figure out which model civics from 92-95 have motor mount bolts which are parallel to one another (level) and which civic models have motor mount bolts which are off set (uneven).
This inquiery is for stock set ups with SOHC only!!! 92-95 civics (all models)
Reason being, we are finding out that after-market engine damper kits may vary from kit to kit...
If you have a stock set up with or without engine damper (J's, NRG, etc.) please post pics of the driver side motor mount..
specify which year and model civic the pics represent.
this info is key in helping manufactures produce a better product.
Thanks,
Here's an example. NOTE: the motor mount bolts are not level to one another.
I am not sure which specific model EG/EJ this is....

NOTE: this engine damper mount has two bolt holes which are even

Note: this damper kits mount has a pair of off set holes even though the pic says EP3 some 92-95 damper kits come with a similar mount.

(...to the hosts off the pics. Your images are being used for research purposes. thanks

no 92-95 civic or 96-00 civic has it's motor mount bolts are exactly parellel to each other. they are all slightly off to an angle. in the picture posted that is exactly how they are, no matter the model whether eh or ej.

it is clear as day those holes are not even, they are angled. as for the ep civic, though the mounts maybe similar to an eh/ej they are not the same.

Here's a better pic of what we are talking about. You can clearly see how one bolt is higher than the other....

I'm sorry to inform you but your statement is incorrect...
That's why this study is being conducted.
There have been models reported as having level and uneven motor mount bolts.
don't feel bad, we didn't know either...

NO MY STATEMENT IS CORRECT! the bolt is not higher, one sits further up than the other. the bolts are exactly the same height. you must not own a civic?

honda uses 2 types of engine brackets for their motors(mounts). one has a 2 bolt bracket which usually comes on sohc motors and b16(del sols forgot which years).
and they use a 3 bolt bracket which usually comes on the b18 integras and later b16 del sol's.
so yes, YOU DO LEARN SOMETHING EVERYDAY!

Here is something to help you...
There are two different drivers side mounts for 92-95 Civics. Most use the stamped/welded steel unit (#9) shown in your pictures above. My 94 CX had that same exact mount. After looking up parts on SLHondaParts.com I found that the 3dr Si model of the same year uses a different mount with a flat top where it mounts to the studs. It's similar to the integra mount, and is made from machined billet aluminum (#10). If the Si model with D16 VTEC has the aluminum mount, it's probably pretty safe to assume all civics w/ the VTEC motor have that same mount (EX models for example). You won't know for sure until you do some digging on the parts websites & check out different years & models for yourself to see which part goes with which trim/year. I've given you all the tools, now you've got some work to do...

The #10 mount has nothing to do with Integras, or any B series motor. It is for a SOHC D series VTEC, as is the 3 hole bracket you are refering to in your link...
The Del Sol VTEC (B16) uses mount #9 in the following picture. Not the aluminum mount...
Here is the Del Sol VTEC (B16) block showing the mount uses 2 studs only...

yes, the del sol does use that mount. as far as the 3 bolt mount and bracket, they are the same as integras. there is only 2 type of brackets honda uses, no matter what motor DOHC or SOHC. do your homework!

Sorry, but your two links show two different part numbers for each of those 3 hole brackets & it's clear from the two drawings that B & D series brackets are of a different shape. Sorry, but your not schooling anybody. And I won't be copying off of you during test time either...
Anyways, the OP's question has nothing to do with integras. He never mentioned integras, and doesn't want to know about integras. It clearly states 92-95 CIVIC (not even Del Sol). If you plan on helping the man out, don't bring up all this useless information & then argue when someone tries to keep the thread on-point...
The OP has all the info he needs in my first post in this thread

60-140 depending on which one and where you buy it.
I have one that I mount on for the track, noticable difference in the way the car responds.
I haven't had a chance to try it on the strip yet though.
To me the car feels alot like it did when I had in a set of motor mount inserts. But a ton easier to remove when you wnat the car to be more forgiving and you don't want the interior to rattle.

this is the 2 bolt pattern honda uses, the only one. there is none where the bolts are identically parellel to each other. so back to the question at hand, this is the only one.

this the other one honda uses, it has a 3 hole pattern. now the reason i bring this up is for the dumb *** JEM MOTORSPORT. i was trying to explain that there is only 2 motor mounts regardless of the motor. there is no other 2 hole mount.
yes there is different numbers, of coarse. the only difference in the numbers is the 3 digits in the middle, thats how they distinguish what model you have.
