Default D-Series Ramhorn

Hey guys! I have a friend of mine and I who are thinking of fabbing a manifold for a turbo setup that I am planning.

We have a few questions, and if anyone has ever built one of these manifolds, it would be great to get some insight as to the details of the build.

We're going to be using Mild Steel, but that's about where we have gotten in terms of materials.

We're going to be mig welding it, and of course, we need to know what thickness of pipe to get, as well as what kind of radius do I need for the horns?

If anyone could offer any kind of knowledge and or experience with this project, I would be deeply indebted to you. :D

No sexual favors though, sorry.

Thanks a lot.

Evan.

My suggestion:

Use stainless steel, sch10 butt-weld elbows. They are actually less expensive than mild steel.

My Kia A6 engine has the same (almost) port spacing as a D-series, and I used 1.25" elbows. There is no way that I can see that the standard 1.5" elbows would fit. You will need 13 elbows and at least 24" of straight. pm mrbpwrx for the best prices.

Why do we have a thread titled "where to buy supplies, etc" if no one is going to use it

they're not asking "where to get supplies" he's asking what size piping to use and with what kinds of radius. and what thickness to use.

Did you even read what he was asking? Did he ask where to buy it? He wanted to know what he needed and how many! Read the question first before you try to "own" someone
