Default S2K antenna

How hard is it to install a S2K antenna on a teg. Do you have worse reception once you put one on. i want to get one bc my antenna is stuck up and the rubber ones looks much cleaner, especially with a black on black integra. but ive heard ppl say they get less reception with the s2k one. if thats true i dont want to waste my money. someone help me out here.

if you do a search there is a member on this board that sells the conversion kit, but from what I have heard the reception isn't all that good compared to your stock antenna

Check out http://www.locustom.com and buy the Shark II antenna. It was a perfect fit for my 1995 integra (check out the pics thread and you can see the antenna mounted up), very easy to install. One thing to you have to remember when installing this antenna, is to splice the red booster wire on the shark II antenna, to the stock power antenna's "power wire" which is the yellow/green wire. I used a simple tap/butt connector, which took me one second to do. No need to solder the wires together. Just put the wires into the connector, and snap them together. My reception is just as good as stock, some stations even better reception than before. Good luck.

If you just use the antenna mast by itself, yes reception is worse. If I go out to my parents' house about 30 miles outside the main city, only a couple of the strongest stations will come in clear. The rest have alot of static, even some of the ones that most people think of as "stronger" stations.
