well i dont know if it is the same for 5th gens but i have a 3rd gen. anyhow, yo uhave to get to your fuse block, which in my case is located just above the "dead pedal" for you it is probably along the drivers side, up by the pedals.. and you have to find the fuse in which CLICKS when you turn on your fog lights, when you find that... you will know it is your foglights. now.. for the 3rd gen there are 3 wires.. 2 red/black striped and a red/green striped. cut the two red/black ones about 2-3 inches up, and then find a 12volt wire.... now, unless you know where one is at, your screwed... so what you do is, know that light in your ashtray, take it out, and get that little light out there, since it comes on with your parking lights, you know it is a 12 volt source. there should be 2 wires, a black one, and again a red/black striped one.. or whatever the case may be in your car, should be solid/striped... cut the striped one, run a wire from the 2 wires in the fuse block to the solid/striped wire light in your ashtray, try it out. when you go to try it out, remember you have to have your parking lights on in order for it to work. hopefully this helps you. if you need pictures, just PM me, and i will see what i can do.

if u look at the relay there are 4 connectors.

there should be a total of 3 red/yellow wires. 2 go into the same connector hole (i think it's the top left if u are looking at it from the place where the relay plugs in at)

so cut those two wires and splice them together(this will make the headlights work)

the take the two wires left connected to the relay and connect that to some power sorce on the fuse box that either turns on w/parking lights, or is on when the car is on. i would recommend an inline fuse just in case.
