I did a search on this, but just got me really confused.....Does D series and B series engine share the same thermostat?? Looked around, some say they are the same, but then why Mugen and Spoon thermostats stated specially for B-series? PLease some one help me with this, thanks!!

I know this might be a dump quesiton, but help me out guys.......trying to get e new thermostat.....need all info I can get......

its not a dump question, but could be considered dumb, as this info can be had from your local auto parts store

they are the same.

on a 1995 Honda Del Sol VTEC (B16A3) the thermostat PN is:

19301-P08-315 THERMOSTAT ASSY. (FUJI THOMPSON) or
19301-P08-316 THERMOSTAT ASSY. (NIPPON THERMOSTAT)

on 1995 Honda Civic Si (D16Z6) its:

19301-P08-315 THERMOSTAT ASSY. (FUJI THOMPSON) or
19301-P08-316 THERMOSTAT ASSY. (NIPPON THERMOSTAT) or
19301-P10-307 THERMOSTAT ASSY. (ROBERTSHAW TEN. DIV.)

 

Thanks man!! Thats what I found out, the part number are the sameon those, but I'm thinking about getting a mugen or spoon one but they stated they are for B series, just want to make sure they'll work on a D16Y8!!
