every once and a while i will hear a knock coming from the front drivers side when going from a stop into first, just one knock as soon as the clutch engages and then i never hear it again. also while backing out of the driveway in neutral i hear the same knock but in the rear of the car. any ideas?

 

check for broken or loose powertrain mounts.
