so what in the hell is used to adhere the moisture barrier sheets behind the door panels..
i asked this ages ago, and no one knew, so i'm trying again... i need to stick the moisture barrier sheets to the door once and for freakin' all, but nothing i've tried works.
- silicone sealants DO NOT work; once it dries, they're stuck to the door but not to the vinyl moisture sheet.
- 3m mounting tape DOES NOT work; it peels right off the door with ease.
i even tried butyl tape. it's sticky as ****, but it does not hold onto the door, nor to the freakin' sheet.
WTF??
i'm tired of this ****. what the hell did honda use? i'm sure i'm not the only person who's had to deal with this crap.
help!

I know exactly what you're talking about because my barrier sheet is starting to fall off too. I'm not sure but I believe it is 3M Ultrapro Autobody sealer.

Honda has this sealant specified for other repairs that I've seen and this sealant has the same tan color as the barrier sealant. You might ask a honda/acura dealer if this would work fine. Good luck!
